Dan’s Camera City has a part-time opening in our Photo Ops department. This department is responsible for services such as:

• School Photo Services – Visiting schools and daycares to acquire great portraits of the students and staff. Capturing images for the school’s yearbooks including posed groups, candids and action photos.
• High School Senior Portraits – Creating dynamic and compelling images both in our studio and on-location.
• In-studio and On-location Photography Services – Primarily focused on family portraits including infants and toddlers. Business headshots also included.
• Seasonal & Commemorative Photos – Photos with Santa and the Easter Bunny in various locations. On-site photo shoots and instant print delivery for companies, organizations and other events such as fundraisers.
• PhotoBooths – On-location service ideal for weddings, parties and any special occasion.

The current opening will focus on our Studio and School Photos services, with opportunities to be involved in other areas as volume warrants.

Requirements

The selected candidate will:

• Be upbeat and outgoing with a positive attitude. Enjoy interaction and rapport building with clients of all ages, especially children.
• Be inspired to achieve great images in every situation they encounter through classic and creative posing and camera techniques..
• Be proficient in photographic technology including manual camera modes, flash and studio lighting, and more.
• Have demonstrated experience in studio photography of families, toddlers and infants.
• Be able to attain all school required background clearances.
• Be competent at multi-tasking while ensuring details are fully covered.
• Have no difficulty standing and bending for several hours, carrying items of up to 25 pounds, and have reliable transportation to any part of the greater Lehigh Valley and eastern New Jersey.

Schedule

This permanent year-round position will have varying hours based on the time of year and volume of business. Routinely the schedule will be weekends and a day or two during the week between the hours of 9am & 7pm. On occasion, some weekdays may begin at 6:30am. Amount of hours will vary seasonally.

Compensation

Standardized hourly rates which vary depending on nature of task being completed.
