Camera Roll Import

Mylio can automatically import photos from your smartphone or tablet camera roll so that every photo you take is instantly part of your Mylio photo library.

Folder Organization

Mylio will reflect your existing folder organization on your computer or hard drive. Folders that you create in Mylio to organize your photos will also be created on your computer or hard drive.

    Organize special collections of photos in Albums for temporary use or quick access to favorites and special sets.

  • Lightbox

    The Lightbox is a simple panel to easily move collections of images from one location to another. Drag a photo or selection of photos to and from the Lightbox.

  • Duplicate Detection

    Mylio can automatically inform you if duplicates exist for a photo. You can quickly view each duplicate to determine if you want to keep or remove one or more duplicate files.

  • Editing Photo Dates

    The Calendar View can help you discover photos that have incorrect photo date stamps. For any photo, you can quickly change the photo date and Mylio will automatically display the corrected photo in your Calendar View.

Editing & Enhancing

Histogram

The Histogram shows red, blue and green channel curves and clipping. Mylio also provides Shadow and Highlight Clipping controls.

  • Auto Enhance

    Enhance your photo automatically with the touch of a single button.

  • Crop & Rotate

    Photos can be quickly cropped freely or with the help of ratio constraints. Make rotation adjustments easily with a simple slider control.

  • Red Eye Removal

    Remove any unfortunate red eyes with a simple touch. You have fine control over the size and sensitivity of the red eye removal brush.

  • Compare

    At any time, use the Compare button to display the current set of edits with the original image.

  • White Balance

    Adjust image temperature and tint with precision to get your photo looking just right.

  • Tone Controls

    Several image tone controls are provided: Exposure, Contrast, Highlights, Shadows, Whites, Blacks and Clarity.

  • Sharpen

    Sharpen any image with the use of a simple Sharpen slider control.

  • Black and White

    Color images can be converted and optimized in black and white using the Black and White control set.

  • Rotate Left & Right

    The Rotate buttons are conveniently placed on the Action bar for quick access.

  • Copy and Paste Edits

    The set of edits for the current image can be copied with a single touch of the Copy button. To apply these edits to any other photo or photos, simply go to each photo and touch the Paste button.

  • One-Touch Edit Reset

    As you edit a photo, a Reset All Edits button is available to remove all edits and revert back to the original photo.

  • RAW Support

    Mylio lets you get the most out of high-end cameras by making it possible to work with RAW images for better image quality and control. See the list of supported cameras on the Mylio website.

Photo Info

Photo Summary

Important information about the current photo can be found at the top of the Info Tab: camera and lens used, white balance, ISO, aperture, shutter speed, resolution, file size and file type.

  • IPTC Metadata Support

    Mylio supports the IPTC Core metadata fields and displays a subset of those fields in the Info Tab.

  • Photo Date

    The date of the photo is displayed and can be corrected in the Info Tab.

  • Title & Caption

    Enter rich, detailed descriptions of your photo in the Title & Caption fields.

  • Import Source and Date

    Mylio records the source and date for every photo you import to help you manage your library.

  • Folder Location

    Because Mylio stores your photos as files on your device, the Info Tab lets you know exactly where a photo is stored and gives you one-touch access to that file outside of Mylio.

  • Keywords

    Keywords stored in an image’s metadata are displayed in the Keywords field. You can edit the keywords list at any time in Mylio.

  • Copyright

    Copyright information stored in an image’s metadata is displayed in the Copyright field and can be edited or added at any time.

  • People

    The People Tab displays the list of people tagged for the current photo. Photos imported from Facebook will automatically display any people tagged. You can also tag people at any time.

  • Location

    The physical location of where a photo was taken is displayed with a pin on a map in the Location Tab. The Location Tab correctly displays the location pin for any photo imported with location metadata or geo-tagged with Facebook.

Ratings

Stars, Colors and Flags

Mylio gives you three ways to mark your photos for favorites and workflow.

  • Ratings Bar

    The Ratings Bar gives you quick access to the ratings controls. You can also use your keyboard to mark or unmark a rating.

  • Ratings Auto-Advance

    While rating photos, you can quickly move through a collection of photos using the Ratings Auto-Advance setting. Each time you apply a rating, Mylio advances to the next image in the current set.

  • Rate Collections

    Quickly apply ratings to collections of photos by applying ratings to a folder or album.

  • Search and Filter by Rating

    Mylio lets you find your photos using the ratings that you’ve applied.

Search & Filter

Searching and Filtering

Mylio offers powerful searching and filtering to help you find the right photo in large photo libraries. Search brings together photos from anywhere in your library. Filter reduces the visible items in the current view based on the active Filter criteria.

  • Search and Filter by Ratings

    Whether you use stars, color tags or flags, Mylio lets you search and filter using one or more ratings.

  • Search and Filter by People

    Easily find and view photos that have been tagged with a person or group of people you’re looking for.

  • Search and Filter by Location

    Use keywords that you’ve entered for photos to quickly locate photos.

  • Search and Filter by Keywords

    Mylio records the source and date for every photo you import to help you manage your library.

  • Search and Filter by Terms

    Use Mylio’s rich photo metadata information to find a photo by camera, lens and other IPTC Core Metadata terms.

  • Search and Filter with Pinned Favorites

    Define and save simple or complex searches and filters that you use frequently.

  • Last Search

    Your last search can be accessed quickly from the Left Panel.

Sync and Protection

Pro Sync

Mylio’s Pro Sync technology provides you with easy-to-use automation and powerful manual control to let you enjoy your complete photo library on all of your devices.

  • File Types

    Mylio will automatically pick the best file type to sync with for each device that you add to your Mylio account. At any time, you can define what files types are synced on each device or hard drive. You may want to use only thumbnails on your smartphone to view every image in your library. For protection, you may want to have originals synced on your backup hard drive.

  • Protection

    Each device that is set up to sync a preview or original file is adding to your photo library’s level of protection and your peace of mind.

  • Protection Badges

    The Sync Tab presents Protection Badges that quickly inform you how many copies of a photo or folder are contained on multiple devices and locations. Mylio encourages you to adopt a 3-3-2 protection policy: 3 copies of a photo on 3 different devices in 2 different locations.

  • Mylio Cloud Drive

    You can use the Mylio Cloud Drive to synchronize some or all of your photos for additional access or protection peace of mind.

Traveling

  • Travel Mode

    Mylio can protect new photos on the devices you have with you when traveling. When you return home, Mylio will resume protecting your new photos with your primary protection devices such as a computer or backup drive in your home.

  • Mylio Device Network

    When you’re on the road and you don’t have Wi-Fi or the Wi-Fi network is slow, let Mylio create a Wi-Fi network for your devices to access and protect photos while you’re traveling.

  • Multi-Location

    With multi-location, in the form of our Shuttle feature, you're able to use any device, including the Mylio Cloud, to relay photos from one device to another. You can use any device that you have added as a Mylio Device as a shuttle between any other two devices.

Slideshow

Playback Control

You can pause and resume the slideshow at any time. You may also step forward or backwards when the slideshow is paused or playing.

  • Themes

    Choose between two classic slideshow themes: Crossfade and Flow.

  • Timing

    You can control the length of time each image is displayed in a slideshow.

  • Shuffle

    Slideshow will display a collection in an order based on the view’s sort options. Alternatively, you can ask Mylio to shuffle the slideshow order.

Printing

Individual or Photo Sets

You can quickly print a single photo, a selection of photos or complete folders or albums.

  • Photo Size Presets

    Easily print a photo or set of photos at common photo sizes without having to resize your photo file.

  • Crop and Scale to Fit

    Choose between crop and scale to best fit your photo to your selected photo print size.

  • Contact Sheets

    Print sets of photos as contact sheets with thumbnails for each photo.

Mylio and Lightroom

Use Mylio to extend your Lightroom libraries and bring your photos to all of your devices. Changes made in Lightroom will be recognized in Mylio and vice versa.

    You can import your Aperture catalog into Mylio. You can also continue to use Aperture for desktop editing while relying on Mylio for library management and device access.

  • Mylio and iPhoto

    You can easily import your entire iPhoto catalog into Mylio. All your ratings, captions and information will be preserved.
